Supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students in full-time postgraduate coursework or research overseas, for example at Cambridge, Harvard, NYU, Oxford or UCL. It is worth up to AUD 75,000, paid in instalments each semester or term.

Who can apply

Open only to people of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent who identify as such and are accepted by their community, with written confirmation from an incorporated Indigenous organisation or Land Council. Applicants need confirmed enrolment in a full-time postgraduate course overseas.

Deadline

January 29, 2027: Applications open on 5 October 2026 and close on 29 January 2027. Applicants must already have written confirmation of enrolment at an overseas institution.
