Grant scholarship for about 20 Japanese students a year entering selected universities in the US, UK and Canada. It covers up to USD 115,000 a year in the US, GBP 70,000 in the UK or CAD 120,000 in Canada, including tuition, housing, insurance and living support, plus one round-trip flight.

Who can apply

Japanese citizens graduating from a high school in Japan or abroad (including international schools) from September 2026 onward, generally aged 20 or under, with household income of JPY 27 million or less.

Deadline

January 7, 2027: The 11th open-call round for autumn 2027 entry accepts applications from 3 December 2026 to 16:00 JST on 7 January 2027. University admission offers can be added until noon on 2 April 2027.
