Master’s phase stipend of about 1,565 EUR net per month plus up to 100 EUR for health insurance and material costs; PhD phase on a TVöD/TV-L E13 contract for three years.

Who can apply

Applicants from all countries with a Bachelor’s and/or Master’s with substantial physics or engineering coursework and English proficiency (for example TOEFL above 70 or IELTS above 6.0).

December 1, 2026: The portal is open until 1 December 2026 for 2027 intake; referee invitations by 1 December and referee responses by 15 December.
