Doctoral programme of the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems and two partner universities in AI, machine learning and robotics. Selected students are funded through an employment contract, and interview travel is paid.
Who can apply
A master’s degree, finished or expected soon, in engineering, computer science, cognitive science, maths, neuroscience, physics or a related field. First-year PhD students may apply; non-native speakers need proof of English.
Deadline
November 15, 2026: Deadline is 15 November 2026, end of day AoE, for the 2027 hiring round. Students can start from February 2027.
