A residency in Berlin of 12 months for literature and music and sound, or 6 months for film. It provides a monthly stipend (amount not stated), a furnished apartment, economy flights and luggage costs, and optional insurance and German classes.
Who can apply
For established international artists with their own voice; students and recent graduates are not considered, though doctoral students may apply. German nationals and artists living mainly in Germany are excluded, with limited exceptions.
Deadline
December 15, 2026: Applications open 19 October 2026 and close 15 December 2026 at 23:59 CET, for residencies in 2028. Visual arts candidates are nominated by a jury and cannot apply.
