Who can apply
Open to artists of all backgrounds and all countries in architecture, film and video, interdisciplinary arts, literature, music composition, theatre and visual arts. Conversational English is recommended.
Deadline
Next deadline not announced yet. MacDowell runs two application windows a year; the Spring/Summer 2027 deadline was 10 September 2026. The apply page shows the Fall/Winter window has run from 15 January to 10 February in past years, but 2027 dates are not yet posted.
