NZ$10,000 for one year (two awards), paid as a residential college fee waiver or put toward tuition with the rest paid to the student. Recipients must row for the University Rowing Club and be available for the Otago provincial team.

Who can apply

For first-year undergraduates with very high rowing ability (athletes, coxswains or coaches), ideally at New Zealand Junior level. International applicants are eligible only if they completed Year 12 and/or 13 at a New Zealand school or an equivalent NZ foundation course.

Deadline

Next deadline not announced yet. Applications open on 1 July and close on 15 August each year; the deadline may be extended if no suitable candidates are found. The 2026 round has closed.
